Miami-Dade county, the county in which the city of Miami resides is comprised of several cities, many of which are the county’s bucolic beachfront. From the northernmost tip of the county to Miami Beach, the cities which comprise the eastern coast of Miami-Dade county are:

  • Golden Beach
  • Sunny Isles
  • Bal Harbour
  • Surfside
  • Miami Beach

In this 5 part series we will explore the cost of beachfront living in each of these seaside paradises. The first place we will explore is Golden Beach, a hamlet of single family homes on the border of Broward and Miami-Dade counties.

Golden Beach

The town of Golden Beach, located at the northernmost corner of Miami-Dade County, is one of the most unique and exclusive places to live on the beachfront. The town, which is   located between Hallandale Beach, Sunny Isles, the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean, has an area of just 1.8 square miles with a mere 364 single family homes. The towns charter specifically prohibits any commercial activity or the construction of high-rise condominiums, making it truly a golden place to live and enjoy the beach and South Florida sunshine.
